Financing
The investment, funded as part of the European Union’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, began at the end of 2022. It includes 6 Industry 4.0 machines aimed at increasing and improving production efficiency, to be installed at the new operational headquarters in Crevoladossola (VB) – SS659, 23.
More specifically, the new machines are:
- Automated line model “GL3 CN2 – DEVERO” GMM S.p.A. for cutting/milling marble and granite slabs, equipped with 3 diamond blades;
- Bridge mill model “TODEN 40 CN2” GMM S.p.A. of the latest generation for cutting blocks, small blocks, and slabs of marble and granite using a diamond blade;
- Automatic edge polisher model “COSTA 622” GMM S.p.A.;
- Multi-wire machine model “KODIAK EVOLUTION” BM S.r.l. for cutting marble and granite blocks into slabs of various thicknesses using diamond wire technology;
- Single-wire machine model “MONOFIL BM 2300” BM S.r.l. for cutting marble and granite blocks into slabs of various thicknesses using diamond wire technology;
- “Splitting” line model “Windstar Sherpa 1600X600 AUT 4.0” Steinex S.r.l. for the “cutting/splitting” of marble and granite blocks and slabs.
The introduction and adoption of the new production machinery will bring:
- Increased production capacity;
- Expansion of the product range to offer customers;
- Reduced maintenance costs;
- Reduced production and energy costs;
- Reduced environmental impact;
- Reduced slurry production from processing;
- Optimization and reduction of material waste.
